​Men’s Night 8/20 + 8/21 — Tee Ladder Stableford Front 9 + Skins Net & Gross

Last Thursday and Friday brought a Tee Ladder battle to the Front 9. When all was said and done, Jim Prendergast’s stellar, bogey-free round earned him the Gross victory with 21 Stableford points, while Chuck Roster and Leo Goff shared the top spot on the Net leaderboard with 20 points apiece. Jim, Chuck, and Leo also captured all the Net/Gross skins — well played to everyone as we closed out our final Men’s Night without a full-time superintendent on site!

New Superintendent!

The much-anticipated super reveal on Friday brought plenty of optimism as well. Steve, NGC’s new superintendent, joins us from Argyle Country Club and begins work this week. Thanks to the club for hosting the introduction and refreshments — and especially to everyone who put in the work to find and hire him. Having a superintendent on site every day should make a meaningful difference, while September and October should provide favorable weather and growing conditions right out of the gate. His initial focus will be on the greens, followed by the green surrounds and run-up areas, with the bunkers next on the list. With the club’s promise to support his work with the necessary budget and equipment, there is hope that good things are ahead for NGC.
