Stableford

Points will be awarded based on the standard Stableford scoring breakdown using 100% of individual 9-hole handicaps:

Net Bogey: 1 point
Net Par: 2 points
Net Birdie: 3 points
Net Eagle: 4 points, and so on.

Chicago

Players start with a negative number of points (based on 18-hole course handicaps) then add positive points during their round. The idea is to get from the negative to the positive, clearing your “hurdle” by as many points as possible.

+3 & +4 handicaps start with -22
+1 & +2 start with -21
0 & 1 start with -20
2 & 3 start with -19
4 & 5 start with -18
6 & 7 start with -17
8 & 9 start with -16
10 & 11 start with -15
12 & 13 start with -14
14 & 15 start with -13
16 & 17 start with -12
18 & 19 start with -11
20 & 21 start with -10
22 & 23 start with -9
24 & 25 start with -8
26 & 27 start with -7
28 & 29 start with -6
30 & 31 start with -5
32 & 33 start with -4
34 & 35 start with -3
36+ start with -2 points

During the round, positive points are added on the following basis using gross hole scores: Double Bogey or worse = 0 points, Bogey = 1 point, Par = 2 points, Birdie = 4 points, Eagle = 8 points

Shootout

All Men’s Night competitors start on the 1st tee playing the 1st hole as a full group (think 25-some). The low 9 net scores on the 1st hole progress to the 2nd tee.

On holes 2-9 you eliminate 1 player with the highest net score on each hole: i.e. 9 competitors play #2, 8 competitors play #3…all the the way down to 2 players on the 9th hole. Chip-offs decide tied-for-high-score holes.

Last man standing on #9 wins.

Vs. Tiger

For each hole on the Front 9 at NGC this week, you’ll compare your net score to Tiger’s on his Front 9. Each time you tie him, you’ll earn 1 point. Each hole you beat him you’ll earn 2 points. When Tiger’s score (relative to par) is better than your net score on a hole, you get 0 points. Points will be awarded using 100% of individual Front 9 handicaps.

The example below shows the breakdown of points earned vs. an example Front 9 for Tiger:

In this example, a net par on the 1st hole would earn a tie with Tiger for 1 point. A net par on the 2nd hole would gain you 2 points. And a net bogey on #3 would be worth 0 points.

1-Man Scramble

For this format, you get 2 shots off the tee and choose the best one, you then get 2 shots from the next position, choose the best, and so on until you have completed the hole.

Please record gross, individual scramble scores on scorecards with names clearly marked and turn in all completed cards to the Pro Shop. 50% of individual 9-hole course handicaps apply to calculate net scores — low net score wins.

3-Club Challenge

Before the round, each player will select 3 clubs + his putter to use exclusively. 100% of 9-hole course handicaps apply, low net score wins. All players play from white tees and Rule of 75 players (Age + Handicap >= 75) may play golds.

Please clearly identify your chosen 3 clubs + putter to your playing partners before teeing off #1 (4 clubs total with putter as 1 of the 4).

Choose Your Own Adventure RWB

Our Red, White & Blue Tees format but with a twist. Each player may select their own combination of red, white and blue tees to play as they proceed through their round. Over the course of the 9 holes, participants must play 3 holes from reds, 3 holes from whites, and 3 holes from blues. Aside from the 3 of each color stipulation, you may choose any combination of RWB tees you’d like and you do not need to play the same tee choices as your fellow group members.

Rule of 75 gold tee players (Age + Handicap >= 75) may select 3 red, 3 gold, and 3 white tee holes to play on the 9.
