22 players came out on Thursday for a Stableford showdown on the Back 9 and one man continued his amazing start to his rookie MGA season! With a very impressive 21 Stableford points, Julian Castro took the W for this week and held strong at his pace atop the 2025 Points Chase. Well played sir!
34 players came out yesterday on a beautiful afternoon for golf for our largest Men’s Night turnout of the 2025 season. When all was said and done, 4 players were able to surpass their hurdles and reach positive points but only one man stood atop the leaderboard with a stellar +4 Chicago points. With a very Rory-esque round, Jared Powell proved that the power of birdies can outweigh an unexpected double — great playing sir!
First and foremost, thank you to everyone who made Thursday such a success and another memorable edition of our Masters Men’s Night and Champions Dinner tradition. Special thanks to Mimi, Christine, Sheka, Raven, and the entire F&B team for helping create a fantastic evening. With an epic Sunday ahead at Augusta, Rory’s Thursday back nine already feels like a distant memory—but we hope our 2024 Champions and all MGA members carry lasting memories for years to come.
28 players came out on Thursday to battle vs. Rory’s Back 9 score at Augusta and, with a couple of hiccups on #15 and #17, Rory made it interesting for all of us. When all the shots had been counted and all the scorecards compared, one man stood atop the leaderboard (or as the Masters would spell it Leader Board) and captured the Masters Men’s Night win. With a very impressive back 9 in which he tied or beat Rory on every hole, Chuck Roster collected 14 vs. Rory Points and took home the win this week — well played Chuck! And great drive on #11 to win the Long Drive too!

Men’s Night 4/3 — Stableford Front 9 + Gross/Net Skins
22 players came out yesterday for our first Men’s Night of the season and, in perfectly fitting fashion for our opener, one of our new MGA members took home the win! With a great Stableford score of 20 points, Julian Castro proved he is ready to rock at NGC in 2025 — well played sir!
First and foremost, we want to thank all of our MGA members for their outstanding participation this season. We had 111 MGA members take part this year over the course of 9 tournaments and 29 Men’s Nights for a grand total of 1,420 MGA rounds played. Overall, the MGA distributed $13,921.88 in credit book payouts for 2024.
It is the competitive spirit between and camaraderie amongst our members that make this group and our club truly special — And we are already looking forward to next year! We will hold our Champions Dinner for the 2024 season in the spring in conjunction with the start of the 2025 season. Is it Masters Men’s Night yet?
Men’s Night 10/24 — E9 Team Scramble on the Front 9
25 players came out yesterday afternoon (+ night) for our E9 E8 extravaganza to conclude the 2024 Men’s Night season. 5 teams of 5 made birdies, eagles, and shared tremendous camaraderie mixed with the golfing joy that the MGA is all about. In the end, we even got a taste of night golf as we played down the 9th hole to the final rays of an amazing sunset. It’s hard to imagine any other club in the world allowing a 25-some to have as much fun as we do at our little club — And for that we are truly grateful.
The competition came to a crescendo with phone flashlights on to watch the final putts drop for both winning teams. With zero light left and all carts overdue, we finished with 2 teams at -7 for shared 1st place points. Tremendous Thursday season gentlemen!
26 players came out yesterday for the penultimate Men’s Night of our 2024 season and one man showed he was the best 1-Man show in town. With 5 gross birdies on his card and a stellar net score of 29, Ed Clarke took home the W and 1st place points this week. Well played Mr. Clarke!
On Thursday, 13 players came out for the beautiful weather and a Chicago battle on the Front 9. We saw some great scores and all of our players who placed matched or surpassed their Chicago hurdles. In the end, with a tally of +2 Chicago points, Leo Goff captured his 5th Men’s Night win of the season — well played sir!
Men’s Night 10/3 — Phantom Teammate Stableford Back 9
On October 3rd, 21 players came out to pair up with their phantom teammates and play their very best 6 holes while their silent partners took care of 3 net pars (for 6 points) on the “off” holes. When all was said and done, 2 men (and 2 invisible men?) stood atop the leaderboard. Well played to Bruce Sedlak and Brad Adams who, together with their better-thirds, collected 22 Stableford points and took home the shared victory!
19 players came out last Thursday for a Stableford showdown on the Front 9 and, when all the points had been tallied, one man scored an impressive total of 22 to take home the Men’s Night win. Well played and congrats to Bruce Sedlak — maybe fall isn’t so bad?! 🍁
