Eight players came out on Thursday for a Chicago battle on the Back 9 and, in the end, one player reached an impressive tally of +3 Chicago points to take home the victory. Congrats to Leo Goff on this week’s Men’s Night W!
Sixteen players came out yesterday afternoon to take their shot at one of the MGA’s most cherished traditions: the ultimate elimination challenge, the Shootout. Here’s hoping our little course can survive its own elimination challenge and keep standing long enough for many more Shootouts to be contested.
After every shot, putt, and tie-breaker chip had been played, one man was left standing. In a fitting finish to the night, Mr. Will Keyes completed a quest for a Shootout victory that had been a long time in the making, surviving every challenger and closing the competition in style with a walk-off birdie to seal the win. Well played and congratulations to Will — you’re a Men’s Night Shootout champion!

15 players came out on Thursday to take on the Front 9 and capture as many Stableford points as they could collect. When all the scores had been posted and the points were tallied, one man had separated himself from the pack with an impressive 21-point performance. Well played to Royce Huffaker, who put together the round of the day and took home the win!
13 players came out last Thursday to lighten their bags and take on the Back 9 with just 3 clubs plus their putters. When all the Stableford points had been tallied, two men finished tied atop the leaderboard to share 1st-place honors. Well played to Jared Powell and Chuck Roster — don’t tell the other 10 clubs in your bags!
23 players came out last Thursday to choose their own adventure from the Red, White, and Blue tees and rack up Stableford points on both the Net and Gross leaderboards. After all the tee-box calculus was complete and the scores tallied, Matt Nolan and Leo Goff shared the Net victory, while Jim Prendergast took care of business on the Gross side with a solo win.

Yesterday, a Tee Ladder showdown took place on the Back 9 with players doing their best to make it to the Blues while taking advantage of their bounceback chances from the Reds. When all the shots had been counted, two men stood atop our net and gross leaderboards to capture the Ws this week. Well played to Chuck Roster and Eric Stephens for conquering the Tee Ladder!
