Men’s Night 7/20 — Chicago Front 9
For Men’s Night this week, we’ll be playing our Chicago format on the Front 9. All players play from white tees and Rule of 75 players (age + handicap >= 75) may play golds. Please record gross scores for all holes on scorecards with names clearly marked and turn in all completed cards to the Pro Shop.
Chicago Format:
Players start with a negative number of points (based on 18-hole course handicaps) then add positive points during their round. The idea is to get from the negative to the positive, clearing your “hurdle” by as many points as possible.
During the round, positive points are added on the following basis using gross hole scores:
- Double Bogey or worse = 0 points
- Bogey = 1 point
- Par = 2 points
- Birdie = 4 points
- Eagle = 8 points
- Albatross = 16 points

MGA 2-Man Team Shamble — Saturday, July 29th
Sign-ups continue for our next weekend MGA 1-day tournament, the 2-Man Team Shamble, which is set to be played on Saturday, July 29th with a 9:30 AM shotgun start. Please sign up as a team of 2 and, if you are in need of a partner, let us know at [email protected] and we will help to pair you up.
For our 2-Man Shamble format, both players tee off, pick the best tee shot, and each man then plays their own ball into the hole from the chosen tee shot location. Individual best ball scoring determines your team score for the hole for both gross and net.

The deadline for Main Bracket Round 2 and Wildcard Bracket Round 1 matches is Sunday, July 30th. Please contact [email protected] or call the Pro Shop 301-292-1100 if you need your opponent’s contact information.
If your match has been completed, please make sure the results have been reported to [email protected] so we can update the online brackets.
