Men’s Night 6/30 — 2-Man Teams @ 4:30 PM
For Men’s Night this week, to have some fun at the end of the month and get ready for team events in July, we’ll be playing a 2-man team format with a shotgun start on the Back 9 @ 4:30 PM.
For this format, 2-man teams will be selected via blind draw and each team will play best ball (play your own ball and pick the lowest net score on each hole for your team). For the blind draw, all participants will be divided into A and B groups with teams drawn so that each team consists of an A and a B player.
Please meet on the putting green at 4:15 PM so we can draw teams. 👍
Competition Rules for Men’s Night 6/30
- For this week, all Men’s Night competitors play the Back 9 using 100% of their Back 9 course handicaps.
- All competitors meet on the putting green at 4:15 PM for a blind draw of 2-man teams. Each team of 2 will play net best ball — low Back 9 team score wins.
- We will be playing the ball down EVERYWHERE. As the exception, all bunkers will be played as Ground Under Repair. If your ball ends up in a bunker, you may either play your ball as it lies (rake and place) or take free relief. To take relief, you must find the nearest point of complete relief outside the bunker and play from within one club-length of that point, no closer to the hole.
- All recently seeded and re-sodded areas, drain trenches and exposed rocks added as topper for drainage systems should be considered Ground Under Repair from which free relief may be taken, no closer to the hole. Additionally, tire tracks, bare areas immediately adjacent to cart paths, and bare areas larger than a club length should be considered Ground Under Repair. DROP within one club-length of the nearest point of relief, no closer to the hole.
- Any player who does not meet the MGA 2-in-30 handicap posting policy or has not submitted a written appeal for exemption prior to play to [email protected] if they are unable to meet the requirement, will automatically play as a 0 handicap for Men’s Night.
- This week’s format allows for the completion of a 9-hole round that is valid for handicap posting purposes. Men’s Night scores must be posted promptly to your handicap account. Any player who places but has not posted will have their score disqualified from payout and placement consideration.
