Attached you’ll find the tee sheet for this Saturday’s (9/21) first round of the 2024 NGC Club Championship. Additionally, you’ll find the Tournament Rules Sheet which includes the flights breakdown. We have an excellent turnout this year and let’s have a fantastic Championship!
Groups and tee times for Sunday’s second round will be determined by Saturday’s results.
Tournament Scoring
All tournament scoring will be handled via the NGC App. The app can be found here for iPhone and here for Android. All groups will be pre-loaded into the App and we ask that each group uses the app to track their group’s scores.
The deadline for Elite Eight matches in the Main and Wildcard brackets has been moved back 3 days to Sunday, September 29th. We will need to get all matches for this round completed by this final weekend in September so that our Final Four and Finals matches can be completed in October. Contact [email protected] or call the Pro Shop (301) 292-1100 if you need your opponent’s contact information.
If you intend to play in the Gold or Blue tee flights this weekend, please make sure your name is marked with (Gold) or (Blue) on the online leaderboard and let us know at [email protected] if your flight distinction needs to be updated.
All Net Flight participants (White + Gold tees) must have active GHIN handicaps.

For Men’s Night this week, as we count down to the Club Championship, we’ll be playing stroke play on the Back 9. Both Net & Gross leaderboards will be used to determine final result standings. Wherever a player places best (net or gross) is the final Men’s Night leaderboard position they’ll take for Chase Points distribution.
This week, players may play White or Blue tees (or Gold for Rule of 75 players whose Age + Handicap >= 75) at their own discretion as practice for the Club Championship. Net and gross scores will be tallied for all players regardless of tee selection. For players playing Blue or Gold tees, please note (Blue) or (Gold) next to your name on your scorecard (unmarked cards will be assumed to be white tees) and record gross scores for all holes.

For Men’s Night this week, we’ll be playing our Chicago format on the Front 9. All players play from white tees and Rule of 75 players (age + handicap >= 75) may play golds. Please record gross scores for all holes on scorecards with names clearly marked and turn in all completed cards to the Pro Shop.
Chicago Format:
Players start with a negative number of points (based on 18-hole course handicaps) then add positive points during their round. The idea is to get from the negative to the positive, clearing your “hurdle” by as many points as possible.
0 & 1 handicaps start with -20 2 & 3 start with -19 4 & 5 start with -18 6 & 7 start with -17 8 & 9 start with -16 10 & 11 start with -15 12 & 13 start with -14 14 & 15 start with -13 16 & 17 start with -12 18 & 19 start with -11 20 & 21 start with -10 22 & 23 start with -9 24 & 25 start with -8 26 & 27 start with -7 28 & 29 start with -6 30 & 31 start with -5 32 & 33 start with -4 34 & 35 start with -3 36+ start with -2 points
During the round, positive points are added on the following basis using gross hole scores:
Double Bogey or worse = 0 points
Bogey = 1 point
Par = 2 points
Birdie = 4 points
Eagle = 8 points
Albatross = 16 points

Men’s Night 9/5 — 1-Man Scramble with White/Red Dilemma on the Back 9
For Men’s Night this week, we’ll be playing our 1-Man Scramble format with one additional twist. For all tee shots, players may either:
Play from White Tees, hitting 2 tee shots and selecting the best one
Or play from Red Tees and only have one tee shot that must be used
This choice (2 tee shots / choose best off White or 1 must-use tee shot off Red) is in play on each hole and you may make a different decision on each hole. Choose wisely!
All 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. shots follow our traditional 1-Man Scramble format — 2 shots from the next position, choose the best, and so on until you have completed the hole. 50% of Back 9 course handicaps apply to calculate net scores — low net score wins.
