For our 1-day, 80-point events (Play It Again, 2-Man Team Shamble, NGC Cup), 1 low points-earned tournament has been dropped with our Closing Day Stableford (11/1) still to be played.
The same applies to our multi-day / major tournaments (Memorial Cup, RW&B, Club Championship) where 1 low has been dropped with the Match Play ongoing and Stearns Cup (10/3+10/4) still to be played.
Drops will continue to be updated through the remainder of this season’s Men’s Nights, the Match Play tournament, and the playing of our final two weekend tournaments. We have a very tight race and an exciting finish to the 2026 Points Chase is in store!
With the Club Championship in the books and Presidents Cup week upon us, team sign-ups are now open for the final MGA major of the season, the Stearns Cup, which is set to be played Saturday & Sunday, October 3rd + 4th.
The format for Stearns Cup is 2-man teams playing 2-day, 36 hole, best ball for both gross and net awards. 100% of handicaps apply for net play. Standard MGA tees, with Rule of 75 for gold tee players.

NGC Club Championship Weekend — Thank You to All 🙌
The 2026 Club Championship is officially in the history books, and beyond the scores and results, the weekend was a poignant reminder of why so many of us care deeply about NGC. The field may have been a little smaller than in years past, but the spirit behind it certainly wasn’t. From the opening shots on Saturday through the final groups on Sunday afternoon, there was genuine competition, laughter, and camaraderie. Much like the course itself, that familiar NGC energy was coming back all around us.
Before getting to the champions, a heartfelt round of appreciation is due. Our superintendent, Steve, and his entire maintenance crew gave us a course worthy of the occasion. What they have accomplished in such a short time was visible everywhere, and their hard work has given all of us plenty of reason to feel excited about where the course is headed.
The spirit of the weekend came from the many people who stepped forward to make it special. Betty Sussmann began the weekend with an incredibly generous gesture by providing cart gift bags for the entire field; Terry and Ryan brought energy and a sense of occasion to the first tee with the player announcements; Tiffany and Danny helped keep all the details organized; and Meilani, our championship photographer extraordinaire, captured the champions, the smiles, and all the moments in between. Each contribution helped make the weekend feel special and reminded us what NGC can be at its very best. Thank you to everyone who played a part in making it happen!
🏆 Club Championship Results
In the Women’s Club Championship, Vicki Smith claimed the gross title at +52, with Beth Sussmann finishing second at +62 and Vivianne Couts placing third at +64. On the net side, Denise Doherty posted +10 to earn the victory, followed by Sandra Whitehead at +26 and Susan Dick at +35. Once again, the women led off the field and set the pace, leaving the boys in their dust. Well played, ladies!
In the Gold Tee Flight, Ed Clarke and Greg Morris shared the gross title, with Scott Kimmel finishing third just one shot behind. In the net competition, Jack Sullivan recorded the flight’s only under-par total at -1, followed by Jerome Lofton at even par and Hassan El-Amin at +1. Congratulations to our Gold Tee champions and top finishers!
In the White Tee Flight, Daryl Stone turned in a strong two-day performance to win the gross division, followed by Leo Goff and Phil Martin. In the net competition, Julian Castro claimed the title, with Chuck Roster finishing second and Royce Huffaker placing third. Great playing, gentlemen!
Finally, in the Championship Blue Tee Flight, Jim Sussmann set the tone with an opening-round 72 and followed it with a closing 77 to finish at +5. His wire-to-wire performance secured the 2026 NGC Club Championship, with Weston Happ finishing second and Jim Prendergast placing third. With the victory, Jim completed a remarkable 2026 championship double, adding the Club Championship crown to the Senior Club Championship title he captured in August. Two championships, one unforgettable season, and one very deserving champion — enjoy your parking spot…or should we say spots, Jim!

First and foremost, a giant thank you to Betty Sussmann for treating the entire field to cart gift bags this morning. Absolutely incredible and thank you, Betty! Thoughtful touches like this show just how special our golfing community is — and how much we all care about the course we love.
Another huge thank you, once again, goes to Steve and his entire crew for everything they have accomplished in just a few short weeks. It has been a while since the course felt this thoughtfully prepared for our biggest tournament of the year, and we know things will only continue trending upward from here! And thank you to all our golf staff for keeping everything running smoothly and the trains on time!

Attached you’ll find the rules sheet for this year’s Club Championship. Please note that we will be playing the ball down everywhere with the exception of bunkers which will be rake and place.
Also, for our relief rule for the greens, the maximum relief distance for putting green relief is one club-length from the current ball position on the green.
Only cart fees will be charged for this weekend. Please let the Pro Shop know if you’d like to use credit book for your cart charges.
For any players who would like to enter the optional gross and net skins game, we will be collecting one payment of $30 which must be sent before you tee off on Saturday. Tournament Scoring: All tournament scoring will be handled via the NGC App. The app can be found here for iPhone and here for Android. All groups will be pre-loaded into the App and we ask that each group uses the app to track their group’s scores in addition to keeping a paper scorecard to double check at the end of the round.

For Men’s Night this week, we’ll be playing All Red Tees on the Back 9 with our standard Stableford scoring breakdown. All players play from red tees using 100% of their Red Tee Back 9 course handicaps.
Net Double Bogey or higher: 0 points
Net Bogey: 1 point
Net Par: 2 points
Net Birdie: 3 points
Net Eagle: 4 points, and so on.
Please record gross scores for all holes on scorecards with names clearly marked and turn in completed cards to the Pro Shop. Points Chase points will be awarded to the top one-third of the field.
