The 2025 edition of the Memorial Cup is in the books! Before we get to the results, a heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who helped make the weekend a success. Thank you to Tiffany, Mark, Donnee, Terry, Pete, and the entire golf staff for keeping things running smoothly from start to finish. Huge thanks to Yohannes and the grounds crew for navigating a tough weather week and still managing to get the greens cut early Saturday morning. Shoutout to our new fleet of golf carts—every group stayed fully powered all weekend, by all reports! Thank you to all our MGA players, especially our newest members who made this their first weekend tournament.
And above all, we offer our deepest gratitude to the servicewomen and men who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage and dedication are the reason we’re able to enjoy weekends like this one—together, on the course for the Memorial Cup.
When it came to the golf, we saw some great play in both the Gross and Net divisions and, when all was said and done, two very worthy champions emerged. In the Net division, with a very impressive Sunday round of gross 77, Chuck Roster captured victory at a final tally of -5 net. And on the Gross side of the leaderboard, Kyle Armstrong sealed the deal on the final hole to take the well deserved W. Very well played to both our 2025 Memorial Cup Champions!
Our 2025 edition of the MGA Play It Again tournament is officially in the books and, overall, it was a tremendous start to our MGA tournament season. A huge thank you goes out to Tiffany, Donnee, Pete and all the NGC staff who made the day a tremendous success. Also, we’d like to give a big shout-out to all our new members who were competing in their first MGA tournament. Here’s to a fantastic season of competition and camaraderie to come!
Out on the course, we saw some great scores and hopefully everyone enjoyed a well executed mulligan or two! In the end, with a stellar 4-under 68 which included a tap-in eagle on #16, Ed Clarke captured victory in the gross division. And, in the net division, 4 players ended the day at golf’s magic number, 59, to share the W. Well played Andrew Patton, Julian Castro, Leo Goff, and Silas Nichols!

Another New Year’s Day in the History Books at NGC
The first day of the New Year and the start of the 2025 golf season at NGC unfolded in spectacular fashion with another fantastic edition of the Mike Miller Tournament. Now in its 13th annual playing as the Mike Miller and with over half a century of January 1st playings in the history books, this cherished tradition continues to bring joy to our NGC family. Champagne was popped twisted and used as a tee, cheer filled the air, and some outstanding golf was played.
A heartfelt thank you to all the members, former members, guests, and the NGC staff who made yesterday such a success. Special thanks to Donnee for setting the tone with our opening tee shot off #1 and to Tiffany and Rahel for holding down the fort in the pro shop. Thank you to Maureen Brady for sharing such fascinating NGC history. We’re also grateful to Mimi and her team for the food and hospitality and to Yohannes for embracing the NGC golf spirit.
We can’t wait to see what the New Year has in store for the club — here’s to another amazing season ahead!

The 2024 Ugly Sweater Scramble was a tremendous success, and we owe it all to the amazing NGC family who turned out in style on Saturday for a day filled with laughter, golf, and joy. A huge thank you to Tiffany and Rahel for their incredible efforts in organizing and ensuring all the unforgettable outfits were captured for posterity! A big shoutout and thank you to Donnee for keeping us all on track and to Tsehaye and Yohannes for fully embracing the golf spirit that makes NGC so special. Special thanks as well to Mimi and the F&B team for the food, hospitality, and a beverage cart! And of course, thank you to all our members and guests who made the day a true highlight of 2024 at NGC.
Most importantly, thanks to the legacy established by Blake and Alison Jones many years ago, we are very happy to share that together we raised $1,550 for the Toys For Tots Foundation. This contribution wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of the group that makes up our NGC golf family.
On the course, the day was as entertaining as it was spirited, with plenty of birdies, eagles, and even albatrosses flying amidst the creative strategies of aiming out of bounds and straight into the trees.
It was the perfect way to close out the 2024 tournament season — though we won’t have to wait long to tee off in 2025…team sign-ups for the Mike Miller Tournament on New Year’s Day are now open!
On another fantastic day at NGC, we had an awesome turnout for the 2024 edition of the NGC Turkey Shootout. A huge thank you goes out to all our staff, members, and guests who made the day a great success! Thank you to Tiffany, Rahel, Donnee, Mimi, and all the pro shop, F&B, and grounds crew for all their energy and hard work. We are truly thankful for the joy we are all able to share at our little club where our golf family comes together for some of our best days of the year.
We saw some great play across 4 divisions and 8 (giant) turkeys were awarded to this year’s champions! We also had 1 great looking pilgrim and 2 perfectly festive turkeys for our best dressed awards!
First and foremost, we want to thank all of our MGA members for their outstanding participation this season. We had 111 MGA members take part this year over the course of 9 tournaments and 29 Men’s Nights for a grand total of 1,420 MGA rounds played. Overall, the MGA distributed $13,921.88 in credit book payouts for 2024.
It is the competitive spirit between and camaraderie amongst our members that make this group and our club truly special — And we are already looking forward to next year! We will hold our Champions Dinner for the 2024 season in the spring in conjunction with the start of the 2025 season. Is it Masters Men’s Night yet?
