Competition Rules for Men’s Night 7/21

  • For this week, all Men’s Night competitors play the Front 9 with our 1-Man Scramble format. 50% of Front 9 course handicaps will be used to calculate net scores.

MGA Monday Mashup: A-Team, Men’s Night 7/21, Match Play, Shamble

A-Team Wrap-Up

Two Sundays ago, the NGC A-Team matched up vs. Piedmont Club and collected 7 points in a 7-11 loss and, over the weekend, the team completed its final two matches of the WMGA summer competition. On Saturday, the team took on Trump National DC and battled to a 7.5-10.5 final tally. On Sunday, Washington Golf & CC was our final opponent of the year and, in some hard fought matches, NGC came away with 5 points. NGC’s 19.5 points collected total over the 3 matches this season was a big step up from the total of 7 points from 2021.

Thank you to all the NGC staff who helped to make the matches we hosted at home a success!

Poker Wrap-Up

The Men’s Night poker train kept rolling last night and quad 9s on the board made a rare appearance. James Hsiao was the man with the largest stack to count at the end of the night and a missing 50¢ chip was donated to the A.M. New Cards Fund. Once again, a big thank you to Basil and Jada for keeping all post-play participants well hydrated—as expected, Smirnoff was up today.
