Men’s Night 8/10 Results — Choose Your Own Adventure RWB Back 9

20 players came out yesterday to choose their own RWB tees on the Back 9 and some great scoring ensued. After all the strokes had been counted, Ed Clarke stood atop the leaderboard with a net 30 and took home the W for this week. Well played Ed!

Men’s Night 8/3 Results — 3-Club Challenge Front 9

19 players came out yesterday to try their hand at playing the Front 9 with only 3 clubs + their putter and, as it turns out, scoring well really doesn’t take 14 clubs. When all the Stableford points had been tallied, Nathaniel Burgess earned his 2nd Men’s Night victory in two attempts and took home 1st place points for this week. Well played sir!

Men’s Night 7/27 Results — Shootout Back 9

17 players came out to the 10th tee yesterday for a Shootout battle on Back 9. An exciting series of holes ensued with chip-offs on #10, #12, #14, #16, #17 and #18. Kyle Armstrong made a strong bid for the Shootout triple crown and was barely eliminated on #17 when his chip to 8 inches was surpassed by 2 chips to 6 inches. On #18, after Weston Happ and Nathaniel Burgess tied the hole with pars, once again, the smallest of margins determined the chip-off winner. With a very impressive W in his 1st Men’s Night / Shootout, well played to our newest MGA member, Nathaniel Burgess!

Men’s Night 6/29 Results — Shootout Front 9

19 players came out yesterday for a Shootout on the Front 9 and some exciting golf ensued. After one of the largest 1st hole chip-offs in recent memory (12 players for 5 spots on #2), a classic Shootout followed. After several additional chip-offs, including one on #9 between the final two men standing, Kyle Armstrong was able to just edge out Leo Goff and take the Shootout victory. Well played Kyle and congrats on your back-to-back Shootout wins!

Men’s Night 5/25 Results — Shootout Back 9

25 players came out for our 1st Shootout of the 2023 season yesterday and #10 showed her teeth as one of the toughest tee shots around (especially with 24 fellow competitors watching!)… All Net 3s advanced and 3 players chipped off with Net 4s to fill the last 2 spots in the top 9 that made it through to #11. Over the next 8 holes, our eventual last man standing made clutch putts and hit the ball into the stratosphere where “there are no trees” to take the well deserved victory.
