Closing Out the 2026 MGA Season in Style 🍁
Last Sunday, we closed out the 2026 MGA tournament season with a day that reminded us what makes NGC special. Former members and guests joined us to see how much the course has improved, and it was awesome to have everyone together for a great day of golf, camaraderie, and celebration.
First and foremost, thank you to our superintendent Steve and his entire crew. In just over two months, they’ve made a remarkable difference across the course, and their hard work has given us all so much to feel excited about. We were happy to come together as a membership to show Steve and his crew how much we appreciate everything they’ve done. Thank you to everyone who helped make that possible!
A big thank you to Mimi and Germame for taking care of us with pre-round shots and a fantastic Member Appreciation Lunch. Thank you to Christine for keeping everyone refreshed out on the course, to Ryan for holding down the Pro Shop, and to Meilani for the care she puts into coordinating the event setup and capturing photos of our champions. And thank you to Chuck for the fantastic magazine covers, as always!
To everyone who came out, supported NGC, and helped make this season what it was — thank you. Days like Sunday are a reminder of how much this group and this little course mean to so many of us.

2026 MGA Points Chase 📈
In the end, our exciting Points Chase battle came down to Chuck Roster and Jim Sussmann, who started the day separated by less than two points. Playing together, Chuck put up a tremendous fight, but Jim came out of the gates hot with a string of Front 9 birdies on his way to a share of the Closing Day title. It was Jim’s third MGA tournament win of the year and capped an outstanding season as our 2026 Points Chase champion, with Chuck finishing as the runner-up.
Congratulations on a tremendous year and the well-deserved Points Chase title, Jim!
We’ll share the full Points Chase distribution after the remaining Match Play matches are completed over the next few weeks.
With the tremendous progress we’ve already seen on the course, we can’t wait to see what next season brings. And until then, we’ve still got plenty of fun offseason tournaments to look forward to!
