About the MGA – Men's Golf Association at NGC

Throughout the year, April through October, the Men’s Golf Association at National Golf Club conducts a series of weekend tournaments as well as Men’s Nights every Thursday with a rotation of formats. Our mission is to promote fellowship and camaraderie at the club we love through organized golf events.

Every Men’s Night format is with handicaps (net scores). Most weeks we play an individual format and, as long as you’re playing along with another MGA member, you can play the Men’s Night 9 holes (front or back depending on the week) anytime on Thursday. A few examples of the formats we play are: Stableford, Chicago, Shootout, Par-3 Challenge, 3-Club Challenge, 2-Man Teams, Red-White-&-Blue Tees.

Our weekend MGA Tournaments consist of both 1-Day (Saturday) events and 2-Day “Majors” (Saturday + Sunday). These weekend tournaments vary between individual and team formats. For each event, the top one third of the field is paid out in Pro Shop credit book via the buy-in prize pool and points are awarded to these top finishers in each event for our year long, FedEx-Cup-style MGA Points Chase.
